Welcome, Wausa Alumni, to a weekend bursting with fun in the fabulous Wausa, NE! Get your game faces on because the competition at The Wausa Alumni Volleyball Tournament is as fierce as ever, and we’ve whipped up an amazing weekend just for you!
The tournament kicks off Saturday, March 29th at 8 AM at the Wausa High School Gym, so set those alarms! If you want to join the action, give Allison Cunningham a ring at (515.419.3625) to register.
And drumroll, please… here’s the lineup of teams ready to battle it out!

After the Tournament, the Wausa Community Club is rolling out the red carpet for their Kickoff Meal at 5:30 PM! This year, get ready to feast on the delicious delights from Hartington’s own Mamona’s Tacos & Fajitas! But fear not, there’s still a treasure trove of chances to show some love to your favorite downtown spots and support your local community:

Your feedback is invaluable in helping us understand the needs and priorities of families in our community. With your input, we can work towards enhancing childcare services and creating a nurturing environment for our little ones.

The Vikings took on Wynot last night (3/14/25) for a shot at the Final Championship game! They put on a thrilling show, but alas, Wynot snuck ahead with a nail-biting score of 55 to 52! But don’t count the Vikings out just yet! They’re back in action today at 3 PM, battling for the State 3rd Place title against Archangels Catholic! We couldn’t be prouder of these champs and their journey through the Nebraska State Basketball Tournament! Go get ‘em, Vikings!
The Vikings charged through Fullerton last night (3/13/25) with a score of 61 to 33! And guess what? Wynot joined the party, taking down Elgin/Pope St. John with a nail-biting 60-53 victory! But hold onto your jerseys, because the excitement keeps rolling tonight with the Semi Finals! Wausa is set to face off against Wynot at The Bob Devaney Sports Center in Lincoln, NE, with tip-off at 7:45 PM! We’ve got the golden links you’ve been dreaming of—no tricks, just treats! Stay away from those shady sites offering fake streams! To catch all the hoop action, grab an NFHS subscription and tune into NCN on your TV for the live broadcast.
